Why is having a web presence so important today?
Today as a society, we have access to anything that we may be in search of. One of my clients received a call from a potential customer in need of their services. Out of curiosity my client asked this new prospect how they obtained the businesses phone number which had yet to published in the area phone book. The potential customer replied, “I never use a phone book to search anything, I just Google it. It’s so much faster, and when I did, your name popped up first.”
There are over 1.3 billion internet users worldwide and over 238 million users in North America alone. That is 71% of the population and internet usage is growing at a rate 120% annually.
It sent a very loud and clear message. If I want my product noticed, I have to be online!
What steps must be taken to have a custom designed site?
The first step is to know what you want to advertise and/or promote. Then I visit with the client to discover the best way to design their site. We establish the content volume and layout of the site together. I am usually provided with a color scheme, logos, and other identifiable marks that communicates who they are. It is very simple actually, the client voices their need and we bring to life what they have envisioned. Simply contact us and we can put legs to your web ideas and get the ball rolling.
What does JMW Design offer; is it just web design?
In addition to web design, we offer inexpensive hosting packages to custom fit your need. Most people over look this extremely simple form of promoting. For example:
- Tournaments
- Church events
- Family reunions
- Junior High or Senior High graduation
We can build a one or more pages, depending on your need, and host the site for as short or as long a time as you may need it.
We also offer audio streaming. Many churches take advantage of the special priced packages designed with them in mind.
So, along with designing a new site, we offering hosting, media streaming, and a special re-design package for those needing a face lift.
Is it costly to own a custom designed site?
Before my days as a designer when in need of a web site the prices qoutes I received would make your toenails curl. Most designer charge in the thousands to create a site that is no different from any other site.
Ever heard the expression “knowledge is power”? Designers have knowledge to create a nice site, but they’ll charge way over the top and lose potential clients.
My philosophy is simple. Provide a first class product at a reasonable and affordable price and those clients will potentially drive more clients your way. Personally, I look for the best deal and I don’t expect many others are any different.
